Community Service

Community service has always been a vital part of the ECNS curriculum. As a result, ECNS Cares was established as a series of community service programs and activities throughout the school year. By including community service on a regular and ongoing basis, we hope to instill in our children consideration and empathy for those less fortunate than us, and to teach our children to view community service as a habit rather than an obligation. ECNS is lucky and proud to have so many wonderful families who contribute their talents, time and energy to the school. We strive for 100% participation in each year’s ECNS Cares programs. They are as follows:

October
Heavenly Hats Parade
Halloween candy donation to Ronald McDonald House
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

November
New York Common Pantry Food Drive

December
New York Common Pantry Toy Drive

January
Coat & Warm Clothing Drive

February
Valentines for Veterans

March
Project Cicero Book Drive

May
Shoe Drive

“Four years later, still shaking hands and looking the head of school in the eye like a pro! Good habits die hard.” Wendy Levey, Head of School
